Many rescue dogs are looking for new homes through no fault of their own and they can make a wonderful addition to your family. However, it is important to realise that taking on a rescue dog is not a decision that should be taken lightly. It can take some time for a new dog to settle in and you are likely to experience a few problems along the way. Thinking of getting a rescue dog: then why not have a consultation before you make your decision. We can help you decide on the right dog for you. We can also help you avoid the common pitfalls associated with choosing a rescue dog and we can help you be fully prepared for your new arrival. Just got a rescue dog: if you have recently got a new rescue dog and you would like some help getting him settled in, the 'Rescue Dog Consultation' is just what you need. This is only available to new rescues i.e. those who have been with you for less than a month. The aim is to help you get off on the right foot and prevent common problems from occurring through the introduction of basic training and 'household manners'. NB: If you are already experiencing behavioural problems with your rescue dog then you will need to arrange a behaviour consultation instead. When, Where and How Much: The Rescue Dog Consultation takes place in your home so that we can see your dog in his normal environment. Consultations are available within a twenty mile radius of our offices in Theale and they cost £70. This cost includes the consultation, travel to and from your home, relevant training worksheets and free telephone or email support for twelve months after the visit. Classes: if your rescue dog is sociable with other dogs and people, why not consider enrolling him on one of our classes? Click here for all of our class details.
